What changed and why it matters
ADREC introduced unified Outdoor Advertising Guidelines for real estate out-of-home (OOH) announcements placed on properties and building facades. The goal is consistent city appearance, clearer information, and higher trust in the real estate advertising environment.
Key date
The guidelines are in effect from 1 January 2026. Non-compliant signage can trigger administrative and regulatory measures by the relevant authorities.
If you’re planning a facade “For Sale / For Lease” board, send the OOH Permit Number + Madhmoun QR code and we’ll handle production + installation to the approved layout.
What is ADREC
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) is the official authority mandated to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s real estate market through regulation, services, and market transparency initiatives.
Our role (as production + installation house)
We do not issue ADREC permits. We support compliant execution by:
- Building the board artwork using the approved template/layout
- Calculating size and placement based on the manual
- Producing with suitable materials for the site
- Installing and maintaining the board according to the guideline requirements

What is Madhmoun
Madhmoun is part of Abu Dhabi’s verification ecosystem designed to improve trust and transparency in real estate listings and advertising. In practice, your OOH board needs the correct verification elements (including the QR code) provided by the advertiser/client side.
No QR code yet? Get it from the advertiser/client side first, then we can produce the board correctly.
What counts as Real Estate OOH advertising
In this context, OOH advertising refers to sale and rental announcements displayed on properties/building facades (the typical “For Sale / For Lease” boards/banners).
Why templates are mandatory now
Previously, boards varied randomly in design, sizing, and placement. The new system standardizes layout and presentation for consistency across Abu Dhabi.
Who must comply
The guideline applies across the chain, including:
- Property owners
- Property managers / PMCs / FM
- Developers
- Brokers
- Advertisers
- Signage providers / installation teams

Our compliant workflow (production + installation)
1) Template lock
We build the layout using the approved template only (no custom rearranging of required elements).
2) Measure and placement planning
We confirm board width/height, safe placement, and fixing approach based on the manual and the real facade.
3) Material selection
We specify suitable board/banner materials and finishing for the location (sun exposure, wind, mounting surface, project duration).
4) Production
We produce with correct color, resolution, and finishing so the board stays readable and durable.
5) Installation + maintenance
We install securely and offer maintenance/replacement support if the campaign duration requires it.

Common reasons real estate boards get rejected or replaced
Missing verification elements
Boards that don’t include the correct permit/QR elements end up needing rework.
Wrong sizing or bad placement
No site survey = wrong dimensions or unsafe fixing.
Using a “custom” design
The new guidelines are template-driven. Creative deviations usually create compliance risk.
