Group: Southern Franchise Company, SFC Group
Location:49er’s Steakhouse & Lounge
Project Type: Hospitality facade signage and exterior brand identity
Solutions Delivered: Outdoor facade sign boards, glass-mounted illuminated signs
The Brief: Build a Strong Hospitality Brand Presence at Leaf Tower
49er’s Steakhouse & Lounge required a signage suite that could match the visibility and prestige of its new location at Leaf Tower in Al Reem Island.
The requirement was not limited to placing a logo on the building. The project needed a clear hospitality identity that could be seen from street level and from the surrounding high-rise environment, while also supporting the restaurant’s terrace and entrance experience.
For a dining destination in a dense Abu Dhabi high-rise district, signage has to do more than identify the venue. It must create confidence before guests even reach the door, which is apparently still harder than it sounds in the age of generic glowing boxes.

Signage Scope Delivered for 49er’s Steakhouse & Lounge
Ninety Nine Advertising LLC manufactured and installed a complete signage package for the project.
The primary scope was the building facade signage, installed at a height of 28 meters. The main 49er’s logo was fabricated using 3D aluminum letters with a powder-coated finish to support a clean exterior appearance in the exposed Al Reem Island setting.
For the terrace seating area, Ninety Nine Advertising LLC delivered 3D illuminated signs mounted directly onto the glass facade using a custom-engineered raceway structure. This allowed the signage to achieve a controlled floating appearance while providing the support needed for a glass-mounted application.
The project also included a front entrance sign, giving guests a stronger arrival point at the Holiday Inn and Leaf Tower entrance area.

Design & Fabrication Solution
The signage solution was designed around high visibility, controlled installation risk, and brand consistency across multiple guest touchpoints.
The 28-meter facade sign required careful fabrication and installation planning due to its height and building-mounted position. The 3D aluminum construction and powder-coated finish gave the main logo a sharper architectural presence than a flat printed sign panel.
For the glass-mounted terrace signs, the raceway structure provided a practical mounting method for illuminated signage on glass. This was important because glass partitions require a more considered fixing strategy than standard wall-mounted signage. Humanity keeps inventing transparent surfaces and then asking signage contractors to make them carry illuminated letters. Naturally.
The illuminated signs used Samsung chip LEDs and Mean Well drivers, based on the supplied project specification. Logo details were finished using UV printing on PLEXIGLAS® acrylic faces to support accurate brand presentation.
Together, the facade sign, terrace signage, and entrance signage created one connected brand system for the venue.

Project Outcome: Stronger Visibility for a High-Rise Hospitality Venue
The completed project gave 49er’s Steakhouse & Lounge a stronger visual presence at Leaf Tower in Al Reem Island.
The 28-meter facade signage helped position the brand within the surrounding high-rise environment, while the glass-mounted terrace signs added visibility and atmosphere at the seating area. The front entrance sign completed the guest-facing sequence from arrival to venue recognition.
For hospitality operators in Abu Dhabi, this project shows how Ninety Nine Advertising LLC approaches facade signage as a technical brand asset, not just a decorative logo installation.
