The Brief: Fast-Turnaround Outdoor Flags and Facade Banners in Abu Dhabi
The Emirates Council for Balanced Development required an outdoor branding package that could support civic visibility across a remote installation setting. The project called for double-sided L-shape flags and large facade banners that would be visible, organised, and suitable for outdoor display.
The work also involved practical restrictions that shaped the solution. The facade banners were installed on a heritage-protected building, so the installation method had to avoid drilling. The project also carried a rushed timeline, with design, proofing, production, and installation compressed into a short delivery window. Ninety Nine Advertising LLC was commissioned to deliver the flag printing, facade banner production, and site installation as one coordinated outdoor branding package.

Signage Scope Delivered for Emirates Council for Rural Development in Abu Dhabi
The flag scope included 24 double-sided L-shape flags. Each flag was produced for outdoor display and paired with a 300 cm aluminium pole and 30 kg concrete base, based on the supplied project data. These flags helped create repeated campaign visibility along approach points or event movement areas.
The facade banner scope included four printed mesh banners, each measuring 1.8 × 4.0 m. These banners turned the building elevation into a larger visual communication surface while using wind-permeable mesh material suitable for outdoor installation.
Large format printing supported the complete package, ensuring the flags and banners worked together as one visual system rather than separate printed items.
The project also included installation planning for a no-drill heritage-safe requirement, remote logistics, and high-level banner placement. This made the scope as much about practical deployment as print production, because each graphic element had to be suitable for safe installation on site.

Design & Fabrication Solution
The L-shape flags were produced at 75 × 250 cm using double-sided satin fabric and double-sided print. The supplied project data confirms 300 cm aluminium poles and 30 kg concrete bases, giving the flags stable display support for outdoor use.
The facade banners were printed on PVC-coated polyester mesh in a wind-permeable 70/30 class, typically around 260–370 gsm according to the project data. Mesh was the appropriate format for larger exterior banners because it reduces wind load compared with solid banner media.
The heritage-safe installation method avoided drilling. Top and bottom pockets were formed into the banners to create sleeves, with aluminium round tubes inserted for tensioning. Stainless steel wire rope was wrapped around existing beams or railings, and the lower edges were weighted by connecting them to concrete bases.
This approach allowed the banners to be displayed at height while respecting the no-drill restriction. The solution combined flag printing, large format banner production, no-drill fixing, and remote installation planning into one controlled delivery.

Project Outcome: Outdoor Civic Visibility Without Drilling the Building in Abu Dhabi
The completed project gave the The Emirates Council for Balanced Development a coordinated outdoor branding presence using L-shape flags and large facade banners. The flags supported repeated ground-level campaign visibility, while the mesh facade banners created stronger vertical communication on the building elevation.
The no-drill installation method allowed the banners to be installed on a heritage-protected structure without relying on direct drilling. For government, civic, and institutional campaigns, this project shows how Ninety Nine Advertising LLC can combine large format printing, outdoor display systems, and site-sensitive installation planning.
